Hi Guys

Just wondering what might be the issue on my 2007 Seat Altea

I have read a few threads but thought I might just check it out

In the hot weather the front windows make a right noise when trying to raise them back up, it is getting to the point now where sometimes the window wont go all the way up, it starts to come back down as it approaches the top.

I have heard of 'steamy windows' but these are really 'squeaky windows'

I have seen people on eBay selling regulator kits, some just sell the cables and some sell what looks like the cables and runners minus the motor as well, I was wondering if anyone has had the experience in changing one of these and if so any feedback would be great

Window regulator, lots of threads on what to do. Did my drivers side and need to get the passenger done soon. It is doable yourself and the part is about £70

cheers dude, spent most of Saturday reading the threads, sounds like a bit of a pig to do, but also sounds do able

I got quoted just over £100.00 from the $tealers for the part

I see on eBay you can get the cables only for a few quid, but not gonna on that route

I see the front runners start from about £40.00 and continue right up to £120.00

Are the £40.00 units just cheap and nasty, or are they all the same

Anyone with any experience in buying these??????
