Front Wishbone bushes 2008 mk4 fr

Had me car on the ramp over the weekend for a check over. I noticed that the front wishbones are different/modified by seat.

The rear console bush which eveyone changes to the cupra bush. Which i had a tool just made for typical.

This is now pressed in the arm and bolted through the cradle.

Anybody else noticed this? Must be on the last mk4 models?.

Lad at works is a 07 fr has different arms to mine.

That sounds like a MK5 subframe and wishbone setup

Yes thats the ones, ive put me reg in eurocarparts it brings the old setup up as well. Which is incorrect setup.

Seems strange that seat decided to modify suspension on the last of mk4. But as you say if this has followed onto mk5 its a cost saving for them.

Curious now to see the difference in handling if any on other mk4s?.

The tyres on my MK5 FR TDi are lasting much longer than the tyres on my MK4 130TDI ever did even with the cupra bushes fitted.
