Fuel consumption increased

I hope you having a great day.

After installing new water pump and timing belt kit. I ve noticed the fuel consumption has slightly increased. Could the recent installation equipments be the reason?

when you say a slight increase in consumption, how much are we talking? technically the timing belt could have more drag as it beds in, but thats normally such a small difference its not noticeable.
If it was fitted incorrectly then a slight change in MPG is less than anticipated issues..

Or,- has the ambient temperatures dropped where you are? in the UK mpg have dropped across the board recently as its colder.

actually my ibiza went from 5.4L/100 to 6.0L/100 the same conditions, and the same trajectory the same road.

which makes me confused.

probably bad timing belt kit?
