full beam not working

hello does anyone have any ideas why my full beam isnt working it works when you pull the stalk towards you but not when you push it away.
there are no faults for bulb out on the dash coming up.

Might be a bit of dirt or dust on the contact, had it a lot on my mk1. Electric contact cleaners the proper method, but I got a tin of air duster from poundland and attacked it with that. Move the stalk through all it's position while you're spraying, see if that helps any. Other than that might be a fuse or relay needs changed somewhere........

Yeah, fit a new one and see if it fixes it or not.

Bollocks lol ill have a look when I get back from work tommorow, I turned the seat belt warning off with vagcom last week do you think I could have changed something causing it not to work?

Er.... You have got your headlights on haven't you? sounds like stalk tbh as others have said
