full link is it an option after manufacture?

just wondering as the xcellence apparently doesn't have it. ive been told I can add it but they would need 2 weeks notice. this sounds like an option the dealer can fit.

I'm a little wary as I'm not keen on having the brand new car dash taken apart to fit it, as some tech's are not as careful as I would be.

if its do'able after delivery I might buy the usb socket and just get the dealer to enable it.

For the last 2 years MY16 and 17 it has not been available for dealer fit. Factory order only.

If you want lots of extras you may have to cancel the 12k car and order one to your spec for £????.

I did want heated seats and some other stuff, but it would have pushed delivery from 2 weeks to 14, and jacked the price up a lot.

when scrolling through the options on screen there is a message stating that full link may be added ... my guess is that it will be a software upgrade, or licence release key, not a physical change to the unit

Firmware plugin possibly. No info anywhere on self activation.

I don't want to play with all my phone apps whilst driving to be honest.

Got my activated at the dealer for £160. Bit of a downer it's not there by default.
