When I had my heaters on tonight there was an awful musty smell coming through I've not had it before could it be the pollen filter?

No it's for all the air that comes in to the cabin, I don't have aircon but still have the filter, all the vags do and I remember the stink you talk of lol. Pooeeey

yeh like smelly socks lol

apperently if youve had the aircon on that can cause it so i think the mrs has had the aircon today and not known because when i got in it and put the heaters on it didnt say econ

Maybe but all the air for the vents etc all comes in through the filter, it's actually a cabin filter and the smell is generally what you get when they need changed. I thought it was me at first, I was getting paranoid and trying to sniff myself lol.

change pollen filter - maybe opt for a carbon activated one, circa £10 or a standard one about £3.
and might be worth getting your vents "debugged" too.

I don't think this has been changed for a while

I went through the same thing. Took my pollen filter out an it was pure black, changed it over about a month ago now and havent smelt anything like it from the change :)

Yes it's At the passenger footwell, take the plastic cover off an you will see a rectangular shape black cover, slide it to the right an it should come off. Then pull the pollen filter down
