GardX

Hi everyone - next question!

When I bought my car last August there was some GardX paint protector put on it by the dealer, I clean it using the GardX Wash and Wax, then apply a conserver which makes all the water bead on the paint. It keeps it looking nice and shiny.

Should I be using anything else? I'm keen to keep it looking good, especially as it's yellow. Can I put extra coats of wax over the conserver or should I wax before the conserver. Does anyone else have anything like this? I'm sure some of it is marketing ploy but there must be some benefit to it.

Any info is much appreciated.

Thanks

The benefit will be that it is adding protection to the paint which is what you want.

Whether you should be using something else is totally down to you and whether you think the finish is good enough.

If you were to add wax to the finish i would use that after the conserver or instead of.

Thankyou for this too.

I think I'll try sticking a few coats of wax on after the conserver next time I give her a clean. There's plenty of info on here about waxes.

My only other issue with the GardX is that as the car was second hand it was applied over paint that had already been cleaned. It's in great condition but I suppose the few very faint swirls (if you're been critical) are locked in underneath the protector. I think i can leave with that for what I hope it's doing to the car for now.

Thanks for the help!
