gear box

hey guys was wondering if anyone has fitted a diesel gear box to the cupra ?? my box is on its was out and was going to stick a desiel box and clutch in it just for some more torque anyone ?

nothing wrong with the stock box it can handle plenty of torque

fit a turbo that maxes out the stock box and it'll tear through a diesel box as well. besides it wont work

clutch on the other hand..228mm fly and clutch is a tidy set up

standerd box is **** mate thats 2 ave went through both snq meches in 3rd gear thats from a recon box with titunaium cogs and a box bought brand new from seat same thing happend it has got 282lbs of torque tho mabey thats the max for the box clutch seems to be fine tho not slipping or anything

Must be something you are doing or bad luck. Standard box should be ok for your power. Could get it cryoed if you want it stronger.

well it is on the track and does take some pounding on the subject anyways heard of anyone with a shortshifter on these ?? want to know if it makes a huge diffrence before i purchase 1

i have short shift and hate it, the gear throws are obviously alot shorter but i hate 1st to 2nd as its not straight back its back and to the right a little bummer when your gunning it and miss gears lol

also i can never get used to pulling up the gear knob for reverse, as standard u push it down

what part you breaking ? might be time to look at upgrades

always the 3rd gear synq mesh pain in the arse when your going rrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeemmmmmmmmm psssht then crunch crunch reeeeeeeeeeemmmmmmmmmmmmm lol
