Gear Stick Gator & Knob Removal 1P

HI, I can't find a specific post about removing a Leon 1P Pre FL Gear Knob Gator etc...

Don't want to rush in and start breaking clips, but how do I remove the gator, so I can get to the clip holding my knob on?

There is a detailed picture from Elsawin in one of the threads if you do a quick search on the forum for gearknob removal.

There are 3 clips on the edges of the gaitor near the chrome part, at the 3, 6, 9 o clock positions. Each needs to be pushed away from the centre and lift the gaitor up from the chrome part. The clip that holds the gearknob can only be used once

I've got two threads bookmarked on my home PC which show how to remove the gear knob and gaitor.

One of them is the thread above, I'll post the other when I get back. I was planning on doing it for a new gear knob but the one I want isn't available at the moment.
