Hello.

I want to replace my gear shift knob and for the life of me I cannot remove the stock one. After being annoyed for 10 minutes of trying to remove the gaiter frame without breaking those clips, I finally got to that one-use clamp. I managed to remove that too but nothing happened. The gear knob won't even budge. It's as solid as it was with the tightened clamp. If I use any more force I fear I might damage the lever assembly.

Am I missing something here? Is there something else that is holding it in place? I have attached a picture in case it helps.

Thanks.

Hi mate it’s the first time it’s probably been off so you’ll need to grab it with both hands and pull it up as hard as you can. They are very tight coming off.
