Mine is a CUPRA Ateca but I'm posting on the SEAT side, as usual, for more exposure. Some of my earlier posts on the CUPRA side didn't seem to get much of that.
I bought it brand new only one and a half years ago, so it is a '25 with only 17,000 kilometers. In the last couple of months, it developed an annoying squeaking noise coming from the base of the gear lever, for example when switching to N or R from D. Interesting thing is that there's no noise if I am rough and move it quickly & harshly, but it becomes audible when I move it kindly, as I try to do usually. I wouldn't expect something like this in a car this new and I'm afraid that it will go worse from here. I wonder if anyone has experienced something like that.
