Gearbox code needed

Hi,

My Gearbox broke, found some not too expensive replacements, one scrap dealer has come back saying there are 2 possoble G'Box for the Leon & do I know the G'box code?

Does anyone know what my Gearbox code will be?

1.9 TDi PD BKC engine code

There are 2 possible gearbox codes shown for your vehicle.

GQQ ........... from July 05 - Sept 06
JCR ............ from Sept 06 - Dec 10

Looking at your reg, it's probably GQQ. Might be worth checking with the dealer as both are shown for the BKC engine.

It will tell you in the service book, sticker on the inside front page and/or in the boot.

Checked in the service book, It has the engine code (BKC) but where I'd expect the G'Box code to be for some reason it is blank (Typical!)

Useful. Ah well. Calling a dealer with your VIN will give you all you need to know.
