okay here is the issue:
recently when i try put the gear into reverse and 1st gear (sometimes) it needs a few attempts or a good nudge. the sensors beep but the gear hasnt gone in properly.

also the clutch i have noticed (and this has been like this since i bought the car) i can press on the pedal while driving, a small amount with no resistance until i feel the vibration as though something is rotating under my foot.

is that normal on diesels?

I have experienced resistance going into reverse occasionally in current car and last car (diesel VW). I find putting the car in neutral, lifting the clutch and depressing it again allows reverse to be selected with no issues.

How much vibration are you feeling through the clutch? Are we talking ABS braking levels of vibration?

i noticed by putting into thid gear first and taking it out it goes into 1st and reverse okay with no resistance.
have you found a more permanent solution?

with the clutch its almost slack for about 2 inches then i feel the vibration similar to when you do an emergency brake....

its staring to really annoy me
