Cheers mate. Hope they serve you well.

I have had oem rear replacements fitted on mine this morning at AmD. The old setup was so old it was practically doing nothing! Felt better under on the way home.

Hey mate,What sort of condition are your rear carriers or brake disc back plates as some call them??as ive now had a bit of a re-think
1st ive masked off the area on the discs where they meet the pads

Then my bruvs bodyshop are gonna spray the rest of them black for a smarter finish (any excess paint will be taken off by the pads)
Then they are gonna shot blast the rear carriers then powder coat them in black, seems a lot of hassle but hopefully be worth it,should all be done during this week so i will upload some pics when it's finished.
Also gave it a quick clean around the engine bay today

Not show standard yet but i thought i'd make a start on it (loads of polishing to be done!):)

Been busy with the car this week,First i ordered an MTX sub and amp which should be with me any day now,I also received the new front grill that i ordered (genuine Seat part)

I will be fitting it some time next week as there are more pressing matters to attend too!!
I decided to buy some new rear brake carriers (or back plates) as my original one's had pretty much had it along with the rear discs,

The new one's which i had painted at my brothers bodyshop along with the discs (the excess paint will be taken off by the pads)

I'm really happy with the results!
So then last night we set about removing the old set up which wasn't too difficult as most of the bolts came undone without to much hassle
Drivers side

Passenger side

I have today bought some new wheel bearings for both sides which i then had pressed onto the hubs. That just leaves the calipers to be prep'd then re-painted which i'm going to do tomorrow,Then it will be a case of putting it all back together and giving it all a good clean then fingers crossed it all works and looks ok,
This is how it's been left for now looking a bit sorry for it self!!

So hopefully in a few days time it should be back up and running and hopefully all the work will have been worth it!

(A warning to others dont work on your car whilst consuming a few beers lol!!) so i'm gonna put that right but i now need to get another abs sensor which i will pick up tomorrow.so for now i'm gonna get the calipers cleaned up and painted then get it back on the road tomorrow.

Well i got both the discs and pads fitted today and painted the calipers

Then as the wheels were off i gave them a clean as well

I did clean the centres as well but after i took the photos lol!
Then on they went

And now it's back on the road

I'm really pleased with the finished result as it's now had new discs, carriers, hubs, wheel bearings and pads,so pretty much a complete rebuild,
So this coming weekend i'm going to repaint the front calipers complete with new Brembo decals,Then remove the front bumper and re-paint the Forge logo on the intercooler and fit the new front grill that i bought,Also i'm going to install the MTX sub then that should be pretty much it and it will be ready for GTI Inters unless i think of anything else lol!!
