just wondering if golf abf is the same as the ibiza gti one , and if the inlet manifold etc would be a streight swop over ,

lol @ JUST to all the above... might aswell swap to a totally different engine so nothing else fits bar the engine itself really...

on a serious note, any ABF engine is the same physically... can get it out of any chassis

Kezz, exactly the same, just different Airbox like Sam said, but you can use old manifold/airbox (as it is polished anyway)

Couldnt you just get the one that you have fixed/re-built etc??

That way you would know the history of it etc, just an idea, but would probably cost more than a replacement engine.

You don't want an abf, get a diesel

There's a VW one on FleBay with 74k on it Kezz? You seen it? (Reserve set for £400 though, but I think you're getting the whole package for that). He's a bit of a grammar retard, mind. (Which tends to put me off some ads)
