Hello all

I'm on a lot of other forums (ukmkivs,************,audisport etc)
Thought I'd join here to gain some more knowledge on the mk4 platform, hopefully help few people out, and just talk car stuff without being called a weirdo! Lol

I currently own my baby, a MK4 Golf 25th anniversary TDI which I've had for around a year and have been slowly modding in a OEM+ way as to not lose the cars originality.

Looking to make it a good handling sleeper over the coming years, but I may just end up with a BAM powered lout ;)

Can't post link to pic of my car since I'm new, maybe later..

Anyway have a great day!

Thanks, I was initially going to buy an S3 8L 225 but sense got the better of me as my daily commute would have ruined my wallet lol

Welcome :) If you want a BAM powered lout it is usual to start from a petrol car in the first place, the fuel system is a lot of extra work. . .

I had Mk.1 and Mk.2 Golf GTI's - both were stolen and burned out, at which point I decided to go diesel (and I couldn't afford too much at that point) with an Ibiza TDI 90. Worked my way up to a Toledo TDI 150 Sport, which was very nice indeed.

Good handling with the Mk.4 platform involves raising the front a little, as far as I recall, and adding more roll stiffness at the back. I expect you've researched it already.

Hey muttley, yeah done all the research for improving handling.. Already parts hoarding, just need a few more things and then find a decent garage to do the job. I'd never change the engine out, love the pd150 engine too much.

Anni25 yes another anni owner! I've seen three anni's in the last two days.. Starting to think they aren't all that rare lol.. I wouldn't mind a LCR but maybe the gtb2260vk will talk me outta that when I decide to go for it later on ;)

Well not exactly a weirdo!

I usually get glazed looks from clueless friends lol
Having a couple of 'car' friends keep me sane when I need to discuss Limited slips diffs and ARB stiffness lol
