Yeah, basically you got it there, my Pilots rock on the tarmac when dry... I could consider the Assy's anyway, maybe i'll do some research when I get to buy new wheel sets.

I ran F1's on my golf from the day the factory bridgestones were replaced.
They were the best tyre I'd ever used, super sticky in the dry & almost as good in the wet.
The downside was thay lasted about 13-15k, depending on how I drove.

If you hooned it about all the time you'd get 15,000
Can't say fairer than that
