I think on an autobild tyre test it showed that the Goodyear as5 actually had the best wear rate followed by the PS4. Couldn't say about the ps4s or f1 supersport.
Super sport has the same wear rating of 240 as the Conti 6’s that are bad. Pirelli’s where 220 :O

PS4S is 300.

Not sure what the Asymmetric 5’s is

these are just the scientific test numbers though, but a good indicator. Michelin have been king and longevity in performance road tyres for a while though. Same with the Michelin PSS I had

On my 280. I’d done 12k on mine before selling the car and I reckon there was at least another 10 on the fronts at least.

On the topic of being able to select your own tyres from an available list at factory order time, this is available across the VW Group but lazy importers into UK just like to keep it simple for them, so same issue for Audi and VW being imported into UK by the official importers.

Maybe Seat knows that true Cupra owners were going to put on their own rubber anyway, so they put on the fastest wearing ones...how is the grip otherwise? Worthy of a premium make?

However I think if a Cupra, you should be able to customise at the order stage
Eg...under tyres,
'factory fitted (variable make)'
'upgrade to Michelin PS range' + (extra cost of £ (market rate))
'upgrade to GY AS Range' + (extra cost of £ (market rate))
'upgrade to Pirelli PZero range + (extra cost of £(market rate))
'fit your own tyres' (car will arrive on space savers, rims separate, mail your new tyres to the collecting Cupra dealer they will fit them)

The last option will be so cool!
I find dry grip is fine, wet lateral grip is good too. It's just getting cold tyres to drive that's the issue.
I'll be swapping rubber on the next car for sure if it comes with second rate rubber. Strangely enough, my wife's Arona has Pirelli P7's and they're really good for that type of car.
