Ok, i finnished work early today so went to my old workshop for a look.
Items not working.
Washers, wipers front n rear
Indicators (but hazzards worked).
Interior fan.
Heated rear screen.

Moisture in a relay drivers side.
Pull the offside lower dash down. Fuse box cover off to expose 4 torx screws that need undoing. Another in the cubby hole in the lower dash section and one in the lower left corner.
Theres an oblong relay holder behind the lower dash.
2nd one in from the left was damp. Sprayed some connecor cleaner in there, waited 5 minutes then plugged the relay back in and everything came back to life :)

Going to remove the scuttle panel on Saturday and have a re-seal session in there.

Happy Happy Happy :)

I tried to re seal my loom cover. It’s still wet AF two weeks later. I dunno if it worked but. My gauge lights are perm illuminated again which is down to the condensation. My passenger side is bone dry which is a plus

Got my new brake light and headlight switch today...fitted in the pouring rain and noticed my carpets on the drivers side are soaked (again) - So its back in the garage with the dehumidifier sat inside it.

Also replaced a bunch of dodgy looking fuses - all errors gone away.

So 1 forward, 1 sideways and 3 backwards...............

The feeling you get when you solve a problem that's been really pissing you off... I'm still waiting for my carpet to dry out - I'll stick another towel on the floor at some point, but with winter being winter, who knows how long that's going to take...

Oh, and when you sort your scuttle, don't forget to tighten your wiper arms properly - mine worked its way loose on the M4 and having the driver's side arm flapping around in the dark, in the rain, on a motorway, wasn't fun. Lucky I had my 1/4" socket set in the boot, and a 13mm socket, otherwise I'd have been royally screwed.

Last time I took the lower dash off, someone had replaced the torx screws with a random selection. Don't suppose you know which screw is the right one so I can replace them? My dash has creaked like hell since, and it annoys my **** off.

Funny you should ask. I think ive got a spare one roling about i the footwell now lol.
I'll take a pic tomorrow for ya.
The speed clip that the screw winds into fell out and i couldn't be arsed to strip it all down again to refit it (will do it Saturday)

That's alright! I appreciate you having a look. I'll have a look myself on Saturday too. The search I did the other day said they were the same screws as the external trim screws, and that didn’t seem right.

Can anyone help?
Just replaced the fan on my car and took the glove box out to get to it.

When i lifted the glove box out a piece of white plastic fell out.
Can not figure out how it attaches.

Anybody know?

Sorry nope can’t think off where that goes but I need to do my fan swap so next time I have my glove box out I will have a look around and see if I can find it for you

That solves it. I've got a whole bag of these, but they don't have the washers on them.

Thanks for this - all I have to do is stick some washers on and it should solve the creaking dash problem.

Right, i was out in the car today. The usual problems when i set off then after a few minutes it all started working again. Goes to town for some crimbo shopping and when i get back to the car, the problems are back.
I must admit, im starting to think it maybe a dodgy relay (grabbing at straws maybe).

Anyone know what the relay is called, part number?
Going to ring TPS tomorrow but want to give them as much info as possible to get this nightmare over with.
Its one of these 2...
