Greasy finish?

I seem to be getting a greasy looking finish after washing and polishing my car? You can see from different angles in the sun what looks like greasy marks? I wash and polish about every 2 weeks. Anyone got any ideas on how to sort this please? Thanks

Sounds like you're not getting all of the product off.

What polish are you using?

im using Menzerna Finishing Touch Glaze. This greasy look started when i used some tar remover? I wondered if i should use something to clean off all the old polish, wax, tar remover?

Give the paint a wipe down after with quick detailer, it should do the trick


Also, watch your shampoo dilution ration, too much can leave it "greasy" too

.......I use the new Megs Speed Detailer, as is Hydrophobic (water fearing). Should do the trick

most Halfruads sell it, its called ULTIMATE QUICK DETAILER

It deoes sheet the water off quite well too, see below

Bloody hell that does work well! I get the same effect with Turtle Wax Zip Wax Shampoo with a finish of AG AquaWax - albeit a little slower!

I used to get some smearing/blurs on my old car and found it useful to go round the car again with a clean microfiber cloth and buff down again.
