just had a look at your link bud let me know how you get on with that, shipment and if things run smoothly with them looks a good bit of kit and not a bad price, been looking into something like this to decrease my lag a little!!!! but jbs is well overpriced!!!

Yeah Shame i missed it really...had the cash aswell

Defo a option im going to look in to after its mapped...

Have either of you thought about the new JBS cast manni's?
Fitment on the tubular ones is a pig, trust me lol
The cast ones work on the same design but are a lot easier to fit, when i spoke to Mike at JBS about them there made from a different material he was saying, so hopefully less likely to crack

to be honest the atp one is a pig to fit aswell!!!!

If you think the ATP one is the pig the JBS one is a lot harder, the bolt at the back of the flange you can just about get your hand on it let alone a spanner, and when you do its hard to get enough force on it. The tubular ones use studs and nuts rather than bolts so its more of a pain to do it that way too

Im the master at fitting that atp mani aint i chris..lol

i normally have it off in around 20mins with my special spanners lol

Yeh mate your getting good at that manni now, its all the practise you've had
Special spanner, its a spanner youve bent on a curb or the side of your house, but it works so al give you that :D

Good Afternoon!

Thank you for the interest in the JBS products:

Just want to clear a few things up :)

We had designed all our manifolds in CAD and looked for someone that could build them to our spec. TIG-ART came up top as they offered everything that we wanted as the manufacturer.

The first load of batches that came from TIG-ART had been fine and done exactly as we asked them, to ensure that the manifolds will not crack and perform to their optimum performance.

After the very first few batches the quality started to depreciate excessively: For example a batch of 5 K03/K03S manifolds were ordered and every single one was different to the other, position of the turbo flange and bolt holes started to drift causing these not to be direct replacement. But one of the worst was that we noticed some of the welds had not been fully purged - Using 3.5mm wall thickness and only having weld penetrating 1.5mm deep which then made this very pointless in the aim against cracking.

Not only this, we then later found out that they do not use any CAD software nor did they use any bench flow equipment, or CFD which was promised to us and lead times started to become very, very long causing supply issues.

We had tried with TIG-ART to resolve these problems but with no avail, they only started getting worse and worse which is why we no longer use them.

All our CAD information and our JIGs were taken from us to aid TIG-ARTs build but since these problems we have asked for our designs back, which they have not done and are now selling these manifolds on eBay.

We are going to continue to build tubular collected manifolds in our latest designs, this is all going to be done in house and expectations are that our in-house built manifolds are actually going to be cheaper.

As also mentioned we are going to be offering a cast version of the manifolds which are again going to be cheaper and offer great gains but yet very easy to fit.

I would also like to make it clear that ALL manifolds that were sent from us that had been built by TIG-ART were inspected and only the ones that were built to spec were sold.

I hope this clears a few things up, please as always feel free to give us a call on 01246 455005 if you have any questions.

Kind Regards
Mike

So the Tig Art manifolds on Ebay shown in the link are the same manifold as i bought from you Mike but Tig Art are continuing to using the orginal design. So the quality on them MAY be :censored: or it MAY be great, depending on how they feel on the day

i have never seen a tig-art manifold with full penetration weld on them... Guy, who makes them said thats how he does them  why use thick wall fittings and then not weld fully penetrative? one major reason I chose not to use one when offered to me by jbs at the time.

Even Better info which is what i was looking for.....Really pleased with it :D

Seatcoober: Yeah il take a pic tomorrow when i get home and send them you...Really really simple todo actually...And you should'nt of used the Copper nut which came with it...As the uber crap...So be extremly carful taking them off.
Just double check the Socket/Spanner is Defo on tight before turning as it took nearly 5hours to get one of which id rounded off hence me using stainless steel nuts now...

Mike(jbs): Thats all i need to here really as i was ''Nearly'' going to place a order with them last night. So im going to be looking out for the CAD design one you've done..

thanks

i have only used four maybe six of those copper nuts at the top of the mani as i followed a guide i found as with the larger nuts you defo would not be able to fit a spanner or socket on!!!

They both look the same mate but I'd stay away from them ones. They dont look very well made to me and for the price you will only get what you pay for (cheep crap).
