Has anyone ever fitted a LSD to a Mk1 leon, if so any thoughts.

not to a mk1 Leon fitted one to my mk2 Leon and seat Ibiza. No downsides for me at all with a lsd drives better round bends even in round town you can feel a more positive drive. Genuinely can’t think of 1 down side on either of my cars.
Yes, have a Quaife fitted by TSR
worth it, yes it does help with grip while cornering, you can push harder through the middle and exit.
Bare in mind you can find it’s limit and push beyond on track.
If you only use it on the road it’s a very very expensive mod ( add gearbox removal and refitting to your costings, unless doing that part yourself ) that you’ll not feel the benefit of on a daily basis.
You need to push on fairly hard to notice it’s there.
If you have open roads where you are then it’s definitely an option.
