So

I sold my FR tdi stage 2 citrus yellow yesterday they collect it in 2 weeks.

However I am not sure I have made the right decision :( the car is in 100k and I got good money for it but..

Looking back now it was a good car, reliable, good mpg, quick

I have one question

Should I of spent money on the Leon which has 216bhp or gone down the GTI & DC5 route?

Im getting £200 more than I bought it for 6 months ago with higher mileage!

But I havent found any cars that have even made me like them haha

I sold it for £6200, I only do around 150 miles a week now so made sense to sell the diesel.

im just unsure what to get now.

Only really have a £6500 budget, had a quick look and don't seem to many about.

Could maybe invest more depending

Had a Skoda VRS before the Fabia although a Diesel.

Not really into big cars like the Octavia I'm only 23

Petrol FR might not be a bad idea although will I notice any difference from my diesel?

Of course yes, and if you want, and drive carefull, mpg will be good!

Plenty of difference in power delivery and noise. Remap stage 1 is 240+bhp so higher potential. Lighter front end will make it feel slightly more 'darty'. Try one, see what you think.

Mpg will be a lot lower, aim for 25mpg and on a run you might see 35. But that isnt why these cars are made though....:p

I currently average about 22mpg with my FR. All town driving in Brighton, very slow, stop start with lots of hills. Did a run on the M23 the other day and averaged around 35mpg. I have a heavyish right foot and have been told I am not a 'smooth' driver.

Best MPG ive got in my petrol fr is 38MPG and that was being very careful and slow from nottingham to manchester. Usually I can get 32MPG but depends how you drive.
