Oh and one little thing that has been done this winter, pressed plates from a seller on ebay. apparently there legal etc got all the correct markings and cost me a whopping £23 delivered.
Hahaha, i bought a cupra bumper a while back and bottled it due to the cost of painting. If i had the spare money it would be perfect think its the right colour and all lol
Plus then id have to buy the rear bumper as you cant have one without the other
Well finally some good news, i bought a set of 312mm carriers and calipers for a bargain price...... £50!!! So it seemed too cheap to be true, after a trip down to the local VAG specialist ive been informed they will fit fine woooo
Apparently so, as they came with two sets of carriers :s one set being 312mm so apparently theyll be fine! luckily for me the chap doing the work was on here years back with a cupra. So he knows what hes doing.
Well the cars been and had some TLC and im pretty close too ticking off the mods i wanted to do this year! Will add some photos when i next get the chance. Hoping to go to GTI Inters this year, although not on the club stand as i'm not really sure what too expect from the show!
Well a little update as i hadnt really done one for a little while. I bought a set of 312mm calipers and carriers for a bargain £50 from ebay, spent a fair few hours on cleaning them up and getting them painted. Got a couple of photos of the process!
I left the car as it was until i could afford to get a few bits done at once!
So i stocked up on parts and bought,
312mm discs and pads (golf4motion)
CreationMotorsport TIP
3metres 4mm ID vacuum hosing in red
Fly eyes kit
2metres of gloss black vinyl wrap
Gloss black spray paint
Forge 008 DV
Forge motorsport Intercooler to Throttle body hose
New outer B pillars
Forge motorsport Strut Brace
And then some general cleaning bits and bobs from the meguiars range!
Thinking about getting a new K&N filter though as my old ones bracket broke :/ so is currently replaced by a cheap wolfrace one!
Also forgot ive changed my sidelights to LED side lights, look much better but on the downside i lost a lot of my hand attempting to fit it into gaps that clearly weren't designed for hands my size to fit into lol
I went with the CreationMotorsport TIP purely because i couldn't find anything to tell me not to get it! I know that at £80 it was almost half the price of the Forge one and usually its a case of buy cheap buy twice but i figure with the same ply of the forge its got to be worth it!
Took a while to fit but was much easier having someone else fit it lol i only had to hold it in place which makes life sooo much easier.
Next up the vac hosing and throttle body to intercooler hose.
Bought the vac hosing from Awesome Gti, approx £9 for 3metres of red 4mm ID hose. Cheap!
And Forge Motorsport throttle body to intercooler hose in red from a company on ebay for £71 delivered.
As those of you with a keen eye will have noticed the above pictures also have a strut brace and DV added!
I got the Forge 008 Dv for a bargain of £100 from TSR performance ebay shop, a full £20 cheaper than anywhere else i could find. And they sorted next day delivery for £5 so id recommend them for there top notch service.
Also i found ForgeFactorySeconds ebay shop, couple of bargains on there! Picked up a Forge Front upper strut brace for £35, and as far as i can tell apart from one scuff and no forge sticker its perfectly fine yet was half price lol
