oldskool

Hi. Been searching for a haynes manual for my leon but unfortunately they dont do one yet. Just wanted to know if the mark4 one would do for the majority of stuff. Need to find out how to put mirror glass on outside mirror. On my old passat you had to put the bottom part in the tabs then push the top in. There were manuals on cd on ebay but i fear they may have viruses and i prefer the old skool paper version. Ta in advance.

yeah golf mk4 is as close as your gonna get to a haynes manual for the leon.

the manuals on ebay are most probably etka or elsawin.

we should get a petition going and send it off to haynes. If iam paying £20 for a book i want it to be for my car, not the next nearest thing.

I agree. There were 2 manuals for the mark4 so i chose the later one. Just hope its the right one.

Funny you should post that, I was just looking for one as well, and searched here to find a thread I thought would be ancient.

Could really do with one as well, handy things to have in the garage.

Ok in the last 20 mins Ive submitted an online petition request, it just needs to be confirmed then i can get the ball rolling on this. Even in the event of this being a success i would imagine it would still take months and months before a manual would be available to buy. This is the first car ive owned where i couldnt buy a haynes manual for it which is going to be the main point of the petition, why should we be left out when millions of other motorists are content with the offerings from haynes. I think theres a big enough following for a MK1 Leon to make this a worthy production.

iam a member on several other car forums too so will spread the word on this once the petitions gone live online.
