Hazard lights indicarors randomly coming on

It's 5am and I've just been woke up to find my hazard lights flashing.
This is now the second time this has happened.

The car has been parked up since 3pm and checking the doorbell camera they have been flashing since 1am and no one has touched the car and no alarm sounding either.

This happened at work a few weeks ago and I thought I'd bumped the button or that I was an idiot and had been driving to work that morning with them flashing, although now I'm convinced that it's not me.

The only way to switch them off is to open the car and push the button.

Any help would be appreciated.

Is it a facelift? I remember there being some recall for the indicators perhaps it's related to this?

It's a 2014. Might just buy a new button then see of it makes a difference.
I've scanned with obdeleven and it showing fault code B11E629

Hello Wilson9, we have the same problem, is your problem solved? Ans how did you solve it?

I'd think that the first thing that you need to do is to get this car scanned using a VW Group fully compliant diagnostic tool, that should reveal what has caused the hazard flashers to get switched on in what is probably a "car alarm" event. The car alarm siren pack might be faulty and so it is not being "sounding" while the flashers are flashing.

Highly unlikely it’s the same cause, but I had the same problem with my Arteon last year…hazards flashing and alarm event triggering on the app (it was a PHEV), but no siren…this happened over a few days, until one morning I opened the door and a massive moth flew out!

it must have been setting the internal motion sensors off when it was flying around, because as soon as it had gone, the alarm events and hazards stopped going off randomly!

With that being the case, you should do as @RUM4MO suggests and get the car scanned.

I hope you get it sorted out quickly!
