Hello all,
I found out that Leon hazard warning light button has a problem - when you pressed it, it stays pressed and could not be switched off. Button stays in completely fully pressed position (not in ON position), you have to use your own magic to be able to get it out of pressed position to position ON to be able to press it again to switch it off.

This is happening occasionally - but at least so frequently that even in SEAT service center where I came they already known about this problem.

I just want to inform you that SEAT will repair your hazard warning light button first time you visit SEAT service center, as this is worldwide action (up to my information)..
Repair means they will not change your button with a new one with correct function, but they will insert some kind of felt in the button area so the button will not stays in fully pressed position. :wtf: a FELT?? :wtf: This was told to me in service...

Thanks for the heads up, mine has this issue sometimes

now I need to decided do I take it back to the seat dealer for the fuzzy felt fix
or should I just take it straight to the experts at Blue Peter

Be careful - as this is worldwide service action and your button will not have "a felt", Seat dealer can later tell you your warranty is over.. Could happen..

Or they will automatically repair it with felt if your felt is still missing (they have it in service plan automaticaly!).

Talk about penny pinching, why can't they just change the switch.
What next, they decided the fuzzy felt switch fix is to expensive.
So the next seat campaign fix is a simple do not use sticker applied over the switch

I had a leon ST home from work which done it.

Pressing the chrome trim under the button fixed it. It seemed like the trim was to close to the button which stopped it moving correctly.

Stop parking on double yellow lines and pretending to be broked down!

Its a funny one this but when test driving my 10month old car ive now had it a week the same button was doing the same thing, it looked as if it was stuck back somehow.
Dealer fitted a new one before I got it.
Seems fine now...
:wtf:
