Need info on the above please. Currenlty have my boost gauge dimmer wired up the the dash dimmer switch but i bow can turn down my dash lights as it makes the gauge lights flicker due to low voltage. Newd to know which wire is the switched live ( becomes live when headlights/side lights on) to splice into for the dimmer wire

im in the same predicament m8 wiring mine upto the headlight switch :(
presuming you can multi meter the cables to find the switched live?
had this for my boost gauge if any use
For Constant On Gauge Backlighting:
Switched 12V: Red and Green gauge wires to the Black/Purple
headlight switch wire at position 4.
Constant 12V: White gauge wire to the Red/White headlight
switch wire at position 8.
Ground: Black gauge wire to the Brown headlight switch wire
at position 6.
For Dimmer Knob Controlled Gauge Backlighting:
Switched 12V: Red gauge wire to the Black/Purple headlight
switch wire at position 4.
Dimmer Control: Green gauge wire to gray headlight switch
wire at position 10.
Constant 12V: White gauge wire to the Red/White headlight
switch wire at position 8.
Ground: Black gauge wire to the Brown headlight switch wire
at position 6.

Ive used spare terminals inbthe fuse box for switched and constant. What i need is the switched live from the head light switch so when my head lights are on the gauge dims. Plugs too small and wires to close together to get my multi meter in to yake a reading

If you can make up a small test light bulb/LED that you can fit the negative to the brown/ground terminal and then just cycle through the different terminals until you find switched live.

Surely it the plug meeds to be pluged in for me to find the switched live. Its very tightly pack on the plug wires side there no room at all

No the plug doesn't need to be in to find the switched live.

You can use the front side of the plug to slot the test wires into as you switch the ignition on and off to check for switched power.

Wrong kind of switched live. I have one that works with the ignition. What i need is a power source that becomes live when the side/headlights are on
