Afternoon everyone.... Does anybody know which is the positive cable which comes from the main beam? I'm wanting to tap into it ideally from the light connector but there are about 10 wires to choose from.

It's the wiring loom diagram for 1J0 973 735.

Cheers

Rob

What is the reason you wish to tap into supply for the main beam ?. Bear in mind that it all runs through the Control Module and any extra load will be detected and likely to bring up error warnings.

Its to connect up my DRL's which are canbus error free. I need to install my Genlabs DRLR2 to dim the DRL's when the headlights are on as per the legal requirements.
Someone with ETKA should be able to help?!?!

Don't think ETKA will help, it just shows the whole wiring loom (the part you mentioned is no.8)

The wiring diagram may be more help.
M31 is the right dipped beam. The wire supplying it from the Control module is yellow/green.
M32 is the right main beam. The wire is white.

An alternative would be to use a circuit tester on the wires going into the back of the headlight to see which one supplies power when the dipped or main beam is on.

Great!...I think I used the blue/red but I'll try the green/yellow later. Thanks again!
