Hi All,

I have searched but could not find the answer, so was hoping someone could tell me what I am doing wrong with the headunit (it's bound to be a user issue....).

This is for a 2022 Ateca VZ1 with the latest updates applied.

I can't figure out how to change the layout of the tiles on the central headunit. Googling suggests to hold down on the tile you want to change/replace/move, but when I do that nothing happens. I have tried rebooting the headunit but that doesn't make a difference.

I can change the icons at the bottom of the screen without issue, just not the tiles (3 per screen/page, 2 screens/pages). I think the first page is Navigation, Radio, CarPlay, and the second page is Vehicle Status/Stats, Range/Driving Info, and Help/Instructions, I think.

Perhaps the tiles can't be changed, replaced, or moved, but thought I would see if the long term owners could confirm this.

Would be nice if there was a touch button on the left vertical strip for Home, not just Navigation Menu, Full Link Menu, Turn Volume Up, Turn Volume Down, On/Off.

I got a brand new one in December 2024, 15k kilometers on the clock now. This is one of my main complaints about the infotainment. Everything is configurable but not the main tiles. I see it as an oversight and/or laziness on VAG software development teams/partners side.

Oh well. As it's only software, perhaps they will update it so that the tiles can be amended one day.

Apple CarPlay is usually open so it's not the end of the world for me.

Only other thing I have noticed that is a bit annoying, the arrow buttons (left and right) on the steering wheel, don't flip through your presets/favourites when listing to the radio. The arrows just continue through the normal station order.

There's a setting located in Radio -> Settings -> Arrow buttons.

Yours is probably set to something other than "Preset list".

Mine is set to that and flips through the presets.
