Hello everyone.

My question is, I have a blown heater blower motor that needs replacing. Looking on Ebay and second hand the one I need seem to be rare (a/c, climate control). The part number is 1K2819015G. However there are plenty of 1K2819015 with the G on the end which seem to be with a different resistor however the shell and fixtures look identical.
Basically, can I get that one and just swap the motor over and keep the external plastics, resistor etc? Is it likely the motors are the same?

This probably won't help you too much, ETKA just seems to make it more confusing.

1K2819015G is not showing as a valid part number.

There are three different heater systems shown (same for pre FL and FL):
Fan
A/C
A/C with Electronic Regulation.

The fan for the Fan and A/C systems is shown as 1K2819015 and for A/C with Elec Reg is 3C2820015E.

From 2011, the fan for the Fan and A/C systems is showing as 1K2819015C but as 1K2819015 is still showing as current (it hasn't been replaced by 015C), it would seem that these 2 parts are not interchangeable.

The part number for the main housing is different for the 3 systems but this is probably just to accommodate the extra fittings.

Thanks for the reply. Well my label has actually worn of so the G was the result of googling and visually looking at others, but I can clearly see the 1K2819015 number and there is definalty an outline of a letter, it could well be a C. How can I find out for sure? Its a 2006 pd140 dsg with air con, dual zone, climate control. Whats the electronic regulation?

Also googling 3C2820015E links it to 1K2819015. Searching ebay for 1K2819015 shows up 2 different kinds, mines the one with the big silver resistor like below, from a skoda octavia;

As 1K2819015C wasn't produced until 2011, unless yours has had a new motor in the last 2 years, it can't be that.

All parts with the same part number will be the same but some of the colours and cosmetics may change. If you can see 1K2819015 on yours then, as there are no other alternatives (I've done a search on all letters and only 'C' is listed), that should be the correct one.

As for Electronic Regulation, I have no idea, it may not be for the UK market.

I have replaced my motor twice, the first was from a Golf and the second was from an A3.

The original motor went in the bin in 2010

The Golf motor has 3C2820015F on the motor housing and 3C0907521C on the electronic regulator. It's date marked 01/07. It worked fine until about a month ago when it started to become noisy and needed cleaning and re-greasing. I bought the A3 motor as it was a great price and meant I could clean & re-grease the Golf motor at my leisure.

The A3 motor is in the car at the moment (working fine) It apparently came from an 11 plate car. I can check what number(s) are on it if you like?

All im trying to get at, is will the motors likely be the same? I have completly disassembled the fan, and if I can get a cheaper heater blower with the same fan i can just swap it out? The 1K2 819 015 models can go for £20, mine always goes for £100 plus second hand!
