heaters

Hi guys just wondering if any one has any ideas,

My heaters in my 1998 2.0 16v sometimes work and sometimes dont , the fan is working fine but sometimes it just blows cold then it works fine again

you tried flushing the whole cooling system out?

abit of rad flush wont hurt too.

then look at the more expensive stuff like heater matrix (cheaper fixes first )

you tried flushing the whole cooling system out?

and make sure you flush it backwards to the standard flow too

take both heater pipes off and blow a hose pipe down both

hi can anyone tell me where the thermostat housing is as my dad is just trying to change it and cant find where it is

On the side of the water pump i believe.

While you're doing the thermostat, have a look at the impeller on the water pump. I had a focus that would do that, hot then cold etc, till the engine popped in the 3rd lane!!
