Ah back in the days when Revo were the go to tuning company for Seat motors. Personally I would give it a good
service and replace the sparks, have the cam followers been replaced if not put it on your list as this is a common issue on these engines.
Also because this was the first direct injection engine they can get coking on the intake manifold and just like all cars these days there are a number of plastic parts that because of the age can cause issue but the ones to worry about are in the fuel system but there are lots of threads on here to read up on. Hopefully some of these will lead to a better performing engine.
