Hi guys and girls,

Thought i'd say hi as a newbie to these forums and to SEAT's in general after picking up my second car today; a 2005 1.2 Ibiza SX in dark grey (or blue according to the MOT certificate).

After getting rid of my 52 plate Corsa I now have what appears to be a well looked after vehicle with 48,000 on the clock. I've joined today as i'm looking to get the most out of the car so it can do me proud and stay in good nick whilst im still at uni and hopefully beyond then.

I'm not looking to mod it (insurance will be too high) just after some general knowledge as to how to look after it in general and for some questions to be asked if anything goes wrong which i hope it doesnt.

I look forward to chatting to some of you further down the line throughout the life of the car :D I'll post some pictures of the car tomorrow or next week when the weather might be a little better and do it some justice as opposed to the rain.

Thanks mate, i'll be sure to turn here if anything un-toward happens with it. I do have an annoying rattle at the rear of the car that i'm trying to diagnose at the moment. Me and my brother think it may be the rear light housing or something inside it, is this a well-known problem do you know?

Cheers,
Ste

no idea without hearing it, first place id go is boot latch, maybe adjust the striker down abit to pull the boot abit tighter see if that sorts it.

No plans for mods no, being a student is tough on the funds ;-)

Thanks for the tip too, I'll be sure to have a look at the boot tomorrow and see if it makes a difference. The noise seems to be a rattling/clunking that the garage thought might have been the seat belt casing or holder.

The petrol filler seems a little loose too but I don't think it would make that much noise been a little wobbly? I'll let you know how I get on anyway, thanks for the advice :)
