Welcome to SCN, hope your Formentor does not suffer any infotainment bugs like many have had. Had my Leon 11 months now and no problems at all, love it now I have got used to the menu's set up.

There was probably a window when you got the issues or your software combination of infotainment unit (mib3) and the telematics box software is fine. VAG have known about this issue for a long time and have been working thru the issue. Some dealers might not be so proactive as others at sorting out the bugs.
