Hello folks,

Thought I would sign up as it will hopefully be good place to find out information over the time I own my new toy.

I have ordered a Cupra Ateca in White with the Comfort and Sound pack which I pick up on the 29th June, I wasn’t really a fan of the bronze wheels so didn’t bother with the Style pack. I have a complicated recent history with cars, but due to a back injury I’ve had to leave saloons and hatch’s behind. This will be my second Seat, the first being the first new car I ever bought a 1999 Ibiza Cupra 8v. Fantastic little pocket rocket it was too!

I have a couple of questions if anyone knows the answers:

• Is it worth buying a OBDeleven to tweak and cosmetic settings?
• Does anyone think will Seat offer the ABT ECU as an bolt on in the future? That extra 50bhp would be tempting.

OBD11 is a great bit of kit (I use it a lot) but before buying you should consider what you want to enable.
For example, we all used to turn on needle sweep but this is not supported on the digital dash.

If you just want to turn on half a dozen things and thats it and done you are probably better off with Carista, if you want to explore the car and use stuff like Live Data then OBD11 Is well worth it, it just depends on what Seat have turned on now that in the past was not turned on if that makes sense.

The ABT Module is available (not sure about your car) but you have to buy it independently and its very expensive but that's because you are paying for Warranty insurance policy. I have not seen any news confirming they will offer it across the range.
There are other tuning boxes available but you run the risk of warranty issues
