Help!! 280 bhp ibiza feels like 60 bhp fiesta!

Hello guys ive just aquired this car: Ibiza Cupra Stage 3.

Although the mileage is high please don't let it put you off, the amount of receipts, bills and services this thing has had is unbelievable.

Jabbasport servicing and mods add up to £10,000 alone. Services have been carried out by Seat (apart from a rare few)

Don't know how to start all this selling off so I'll let the mods and what not speak for themselves...

* Stage 3 Jabbasport Remap
* Ko3s turbo
* Blueflame turbo back (custom centre box) exhaust - Pops and bangs at low revs
* Forge and Samco hosing
* Forge Front Mount Intercooler
* VR6 Clutch and G60 Flywheel
* 25th Anni Golf BBS Wheels in gunmetal grey, wrapped in Yokohoma Prada tires
* Carbon wrapped bonnet
* Forge Recirc dump valve
* Lowered on 40mm Weitec shocks and springs
* Boost and vacuum guages
* Half Leather and Half Cloth Interior
* Leon Cupra R Splitter
* Lightly tinted all round

Taxed till Sep 11'
MOT till Feb 12'

The service history to this is unreal, shed loads of receipts, old mots etc.


Took it in px and all was fine for a couple hours! intermitently the boost would completely die off to .4 and the only way to get it boosting properly again is to turn the engine off and back on again! Now it is stuck at .4 boost and turning it off and on again isnt making any difference, I have tried resetting the ecu but makes no diffrence. No engine management light comes on and the car will still do motorway speeds but it gets there at a snails pace. My best guess is the n75 valve so I am about to place an order with my local stealer for the type h version but I really dont have a clue wether this is going to fix it, anyone got any other ideas? P.S I plugged the car in for faults and it came back with intermitent boost fault and pre cat lamba no reading but this was before the fault became permanent and I was still able to get it running by turning off and on. For a start did u have a print out of the 280bhp ? As the advert on ph was a little miss leading???

It's in limp mode to protect itself take battery pos off for a mo that resets it then drive normally until u get that part, lamba will be new one 70 quid and n75 bout 90 quid race one

Hello mate, ive got a dyno printout @ just over 250 bhp with a receipt for the stage 2 tuning at the same time, I also have a reciept for the stage 3 tuning around a year after but no printout :-( That said when the car was boosting properly there was no way it was 280 bhp but it was a fair bit quicker than my m8s standard cupra r leon, boost was hittin 1.5 most the time but tailing right off to .8 and on inspection the actuator is f***ed. I have tried leaving the battery off all day today but no diffrence, I have a new lambda ready to fit but im fairly sure this wont cure it as it ran with the boost dropping intermitently for several days after the lambda was diagnosed.

PS I only disconnected the battery earth but that shouldnt matter should it?

Take positive off and leave 15 mins or try turning rod in to stop or unplug n75 then it won't hurt car so much only boost to 10psi tho

im assuming this is the car off pistonheads that some1 posted on here a while back if n75 is faulty surely there wouldnt be a lambda fault ??

interesting that this came up a week ago hope it is what he sais it is.
check if its a hybrid setup for just ko3s check the maf size is it 2.5 or 3 inch.
get it on vagcom mate good luck

Guys thanks for you replies, I have bought a new n75 and lamba sensor and will be fitting tonite so fingers crossed it will be back to normal tommorow. Dan just read your other post mate and I agree i doubt this car is 280 bhp but I will be interested to see what it does make on the local rollers. Incidentally where is the best place to buy another actuator? I assume it is specific to that turbo as the car came with a spare k03 turbo and actuator and it is diffrent. Mine has only 1 vaccum nipple, where as the k03 one has 2. PS I have already pulled the majority of that carbon crap off the car but the bonnet is painted black underneath! tasty!! lol

omg , specific thread about this car , no way k03s will get 280 even 250 to me seems a bit optomistic , i would take it to jabba sport or phone them i'm sure they would have alot of knowledge about the car if 10k was spent there .

Call them and say the reg and they will tell you what has been done because you could get the guy done for false advertising

I would do Dan but in all honesty the car owes me so little I could break it and not lose plus in all fairness there is reciepts for thousands of pounds from jabbasport and various others, ive not got the car for myself as ive got a scooby but I do wana get it goin reasonably nice for the next owner even if I only break even. PS just drove my m8s leon cupra home from the club and the ibiza would absoloutley anihalate it even with the shot actuator so cant be all that bad (when its not in limp mode anyway ;-) ) lol

when you got the lamba for your car what colour was the plug and shape of the lamba probe as i think my garage has given me the wrong one!!!

The Lamba I used was a universal one Dan and I didnt fit it myself so I dont know, sorry mate. Hasnt made any diffrence to the boost tho, both n75 and lamba changed and battery disconnected for ten minutes and still only .4 of a bar :-( Dont know what to do next other than change the actuator but cant find one anywhere and I cant see it being that. Anyone got any ideas?

Lambda would make it run lumpy not loose all boost. So it's in limp mode all the time?

Well from what I can tell yeah, theres no dash light on tho and theres is still go in it but .4 of boost all the way through all gears and lots of popping from the exhaust which im assuming is fuel?
