Help! Blue paint on my candy white Ibiza!

My hubby noticed today that my 5 week old sparkly white Ibiza is now sporting someone esle's blue paint on her passenger door! I am so peed off about this! Why can't people be more careful?! Some obviously opened their door onto mine and shared their paint! Luckily it's only paint and not accompanied by a dent, but I am still not happy! I am ALWAYS sooo picky about where I park and HATE using public car parks, but yesterday I had no choice but to park in one and that is where it must have happened. Any idea on how to get the paint off without ruining my nice white paint underneath?

When I had my Corsa, I had a close encounter with a concrete pillar and ended up with yellow paint on my rear wheel arch. I managed to get that off using a credit card under a tissue, but am wary of doing the same on such a new car! Here's a few pics to show the location of the paint. All I can say is Poor Candy! Obviously, being so new and shiny and white it sticks out like a sore thumb!

Gutted, I usually get the registration number of the cars either side of me and put them in my phone. Have you not thought of camera's in the car park, if they have them you can report it to the police. have the camera's checked and if you have any footage of the car, does not have to be of them hitting the car with the door as paint test and a check of their vehicle will determine if it's their paint on your car and get their insurance to pay for it.

I wouldn't let it be until I had no choice but to!

It makes me so cross - I always open my doors carefully - more to protect my paint than anyone elses! As far as I know there are no cameras in that car park and when I left her I parked in the middle space of 3 empty spaces. It didn't even occur to me to check my doors when we got back to her, but from now on I will do and leave a note on their windscreens if there is any damage to my car. Never had this happen to any previous car (and I've had loads!) and it just makes it worse that she is so new and I am so careful! My car is my pride and joy.

I always have a look at the cars that are parked on either side of me. If they park really close to me they get a kick lol.

Got the worst of the paint of with some Autoglym srp. There is only one tiny dot of blue left where it must have chipped a tiny bit of paint off, but unless you know where to look you can't see it! Looks so much better than it did though. I shan't be leaving her in any public car parks for a while that's for sure! I would rather use on street parking and walk a bit further knowing my car will be safer than being left in a car park.
