Hey,

First post but lurked quite a lot the past few months.

Last week I finally got sick of my quickly depreciating Insignia and thought what the hell and ordered a Leon 184 FR in alor blue with tech pack, convenience pack plus, full link and 18" wheels.

I got an update from the dealer today in the form of a screen grab from their order form, as I can't post pics or links please see below for key data from the shot:

LH Specifications:

- Status Code - 30 - In transit from
- Port UK - 40001 - Port Tyne
- Current Location - 40805
- Next Location - 40001 - Port Tyne
- Factory - 49 - Martorell
- Ship - TYB283

Dates:

- CheckPoint8 - 02/09/15
- Fact - 10/09/2015
- Age from Build - 12
- Days in comp: - BLANK
- Arrival at PoEn - BLANK
- Compound Entry - BLANK
- Call off: 10/09/2015
- Transport Order - BLANK
- Despatch to Ret - BLANK
- Arrival at Ret - BLANK
- Traps Days - BLANK

Also on the screen shot is the retail number, chassis and engine number, exact spec and model info.

Any one know which ship this car is on? Its clear going to Tyne Port but when!? Its quite easy to track online but the ship ID seems useless as I can't find any matches for it.

I realllyyyy want to know when its going to arrive and all help will be much appreciated. I literally can't stand to drive my current car and the wait is killing me!

Thanks in advance and thanks for having an active and open forum I can post to!

I already tried that! Without the ship code it's useless though :(

There is a ship code in the info but it doesn't match anything that I can see.

Just want my car to get here :(

I tracked my car from Barcelona on marinetraffic.com but had to do some detective work first. I seem to remember having to look at port of tyne's website to see what was docking when and that gave the departing port of the ships. That gave me the name of the ship which I then searched on marine traffic. It only took a couple of days to get from Barcelona to Tyne so you may be too late but it's worth a look. Good luck!

Thanks man, I did just that last night. My car was built on the 2/9 and if my detective work is correct then it was shipped from Barcelona on the 3/9 and it got into Tyne a few days ago. If thats correct then the cars already here in the UK being processed! If not then there is another potential boat coming from Barcelona which arrives on the 20/9. If its not on that one either then I'm screwed right up until the start of October at least :(

My dealer said he will try and find out the boat name today for me aha.

Thanks for the reply, can't wait to get my car! :)

Ah nice one mate. I will do just that. What number did you use???

I have the chassis/engine numbers so I'll give it a go.

Thanks.

Cool, found out the boat name from Seat but its been delayed a few days until Sunday.

The next question then is who long do you think it will take to get from the boat onto a transporter etc?

My Leon St FR 184 is currently on the Heroic Ace, expected in Tyne on the 20/9 and was built slightly before yours, so it may well be on that ship along with mine. Hoping it gets off that ship and to Harrogate ASAP haha.

Edit: just read your last post again, is it the same ship then? But I'd also like to know how much longer I'm expected to wait. Pure impatience!

Hey, yeah we are boat brothers apparently. I'm in Hitchin so you may well get yours sooner than me. I'm exactly the same as you! Well i know the boat which is great BUT when is it actually going to get here!?!?!!!

The dealer gets notified 48hrs before delivery so let me know when you gets yours and ill do the same. Have you had your 'Welcome to Seat' email yet?

What spec did you go for??

Yeah will let you know, although even if yours does take longer you may well get yours before mine as I'm waiting for it to get delivered from the dealer to Staffordshire. Although I may crack and end up going up there to pick it up!

No haven't had the email and probably won't as I've leased mine as a friend has scored me a great deal. All I've added to mine is convenience, tech pack & 18" alloys in technic grey.

Cracked and emailed the dealer didn't I?! No real update they just said they were expecting the car to be delivered to the dealers in Leeds within the next two weeks... I'm too impatient for this waiting around business haha!

Thats so weird man, I cracked today too but called Seat direct. I got the same response from them saying that it would be 2 weeks after shipping, i asked for an ETA to the dealer and they advised the 6th October.

I then emailed my dealer and said I was disappointed etc etc and he has just advised that Seat always over promise and based on every other order they have had thats come into Tyne the car will be with them on Monday.

I bet him a beer on it but I'm the same as you, literally cannot bear the waiting!!!! Not when the car looks so good and the reviews are so good! Pictures are no longer satisfying my cravings ahah.

Ah that's good to know, hopefully that'll mean mine should be getting in just before then, you would have thought any way. Unless they're on separate carriers of course.

Here's to a painful wait!

The dealer emailed me at 8.30 this morning asking if i was available later or tomorrow morning. I of course said later (thankfully working from home). No reply yet but I'm assuming its in if he's asked that question....

Hopefully yours isn't far behind, I'll post later if I do indeed pick her up.
