Can you help me please.. I have little or no diesel getting to the clear tube before the fuel injection pump. I have changed the fuel filter and still nothing. Is there a hand primer as i may have air, but i feel more like the pump has packed up. When i turn the engine over a small amount of diesel goes up the tube than it goes back down the tube and i turn the key again and no diesel at all come up the tube...

Can you help....

Right... i have undone the injectors to allow any air out, i have tested the stop solernoid and that works fine, still no diesel making it to the pump...

does anybody have any ideas ..???

There's no in tank pump with the VE injection pump engines. How did this situation arise? I would think it very unlikely for the system to suddenly be empty unless you ran out of fuel or did something to cause this.

i just jumped in it on Sunday and tried to start it ... nothing different. not ran out of fuel.. does the injection pump pull the fuel up the line ?

Yep, low pressure side of the pump draws fuel from the tank to the pump via the fuel filter, and recirculates it back to the tank From this it takes what is required for injection and pumps it through the high pressure side and pulses it to the injectors as and when required.

Just to let you know all sorted. . major air leak into the system was not letting the pump pull the diesel up to the engine...sections of fuel hose and a primer bulb .....job done
