Hi everyone. Newbie here . I have recently bought a cupra mk3 6k2 project as was in a front end hit from passenger side . Piece by piece putting it back together . And i have run into a problem with the bonnet catch . I have searched the forums and trolled the internet with little or no help on posts . I know that their is no haynes manual for the 6k2 also that their are only few pics only of complete assembly. As on mine i seem to be missing a secondry cable from the catch . I have the one coming in from drvers footwell to side fender splitter tgen to bonnet catch . But on a diagram i found on the forum their should be a secondry cable the goes to passenger side wing . For tension . And i dont have that on mine its missing .. if all this rambling makes any sense .

Any help at all would be massively appreciated or if anyone could point me in the right direction or if anyone has pics of enginebay with the cables and where they go etc .

As i am really stuck .. also apologies if i haven't used the correct terminology to discribe the parts or my problem .

Thanks in advance .

Any help pls any pics of the bonnet catch assembly with cables leading out and where the cables goto ?

The leaver cable is dne and connected its the other one that is missing going towards passenger side wing .

Thanks for the reply . I have the cable coming from the bonnet pull handle inside the car to the drivers side wing where the splitter is and i have the cable going from the splitter to the bonnet catch .
But their is an extra hole on the catch that looks as a cable is attached to it for the tension to pull the leaver back once you open it . So i researched online and could not find anything apart from a vague diagram that suggests their is a third cable that goes to the other wing and in near the pollen filter . But i may be wrong . And it could be for a spring or somthing that is missing from mine . As right now my bonnet closes for the first click but will not lock . And if i could just see a working bonnet catch i could workout where the problem lies .
