Hi everyone,
I’m retrofitting the Automatic Headlight function on my 2011 Seat Ibiza Cupra (6J) with factory Bi-Xenon headlights.

The car has the factory Rain/Light sensor on the windshield (already working for the wipers). I’ve installed the headlight switch with the 'AUTO' position, but the lights don't turn on automatically.

I checked my car's harness connector and I found that Pin 3 (labeled TFL on the switch) is empty. Pins 1 and 2 are present, but the third slot has no wire.

I have OBDeleven and I’ve already coded the BCM (09 - Central Electrics), but since the TFL/Auto wire is physically missing, the BCM doesn't receive the signal when I move the switch to 'AUTO'.

Has anyone successfully added this missing wire from the switch to the BCM? I need to know if is possibile, and the exact destination on the BCM. Is it Pin 20 on the White connector (T73b) or somewhere else?

If anyone has a wiring diagram for a 2011 Cupra or has done this retrofit before, I would really appreciate your help!

Thanks!

I have the wiring diagrams for Ibiza 6J but there are many wiring variants depending on the exact manufacturing month/year.
If you know the exact manufacturing date of your car, tell me and I'll send you the correct wiring information.
If you don't know, send me your VIN via a PM and I'll find the manufacturing date first, then send you the wiring info accordingly.

Hi, the year of the car is 2011. Thank you

...
February 2010
June 2010 7L3
June 2010 7L6
November 2010 7L3
November 2010 7L6
June 2011 7L3
June 2011 7L6
November 2011 7L3
November 2011 7L6
...

The above date & PR code combinations are available wiring alternatives, in which the year being around 2010 and 2011.
Yours is most likely November 2010 or June 2011, and also there's the PR code differentiation of 7L3 and 7L6.
So knowing only the model year is not enough to determine exact wiring variant.
