Does the error code come off once it's been corrected or do I have to go to a dealer. Sorry about the barrage of questions just want to get it right. The bulbs are 35w is that cool

The error code will go as soon as you swap them over and turn the ignition off and back on :)

I'd go with 8000k if you want a lovely distinctive look. Perfect in my opinion. And the colour you see is so like natural day light at night that your eyes don't strain as much!!

and 35w is fine. most kits are 35w

Lads just was doing some snooping and its said that HID kits are illegal. Because of glare etc. However, if BMW mercs have them; "what the problem is?"

Aftermarket HIDs (xenons) are 'illegal' if they are used with headlights which do not auto level, or do not have headlight washers. Merc's/Audi's/BMW's etc. use projector lenses which produce a very accurate beam pattern and auto level in order to reduce glare.

For the MOT I tend to swap out my HIDs for standard halogens just incase, however many people do pass MOTs with them in. You won't get pulled over unless they are very blue or glare a lot (10,000k-12,000k etc. and 8000k in some situations) as blue lights are meant to be used solely for emergency service vehicles. I have 5000k HIDs which are a perfectly white and look OEM.

Won't even need to swap them... don't worry!!!... Unless you M.O.T tester is a right T*at!! haha!!. Wouldn't go any more than 8000k for road use!!

Trust me... 8000k HR7... correctly aligned and you will not go wrong :) They look factory fitted too.. for about 5% of the optional extra price lol

That's not what I wanted to hear! The ones I've ordered are CANBUS compatible so they shouldn't flag up the bulb error message.

I also have VCDS (VAGCOM) so I could maybe just disable the "cold bulb" facility.

It's the exact same kit i had, sometimes one side wouldn't work (random) and sometimes i'd just have an error light.

I tried the error cancellers they supply which didn't do anything.

I ended up buying a HIDS4U kit, they're the only ones that are proven to 100% work on the FL Leons.
