hids? dipped beam only or dipped beam and full beam?

hi all what dose every one tend to buy just the dipped beam or dipped beam and main beam?

usually dipped only as they take a moment or so to get up to full working brightness and the constant dipping will make them wear out prematurely

Ive only done dipped, dont need to use main much with HIDs!

main and dipped; first time you turn main on each night they take a couple of secs to reach full brightness, then when dipped and put back to main instant brightness is maintained. i drive a majority of single track and tight country lanes so the more light the better! i've had the same set of bulbs since april, flash them a lot and they are still ok, touch wood

yeah 1 ballast per bulb it is so 4.

yes, but all mounted in my inner wings out of sight - took wheels and wheel arch liners off then lots of access
