High Engine Revs - Changing Gear

Apologies if this question/problem has already been asnswered however, I wasn't able to find anything.

Seat Leon FR TFSI (08)

Recently purchased above car (couple of weeks ago)

When driving and changing gears primarily from 2nd to 3rd to 4th and 5th the engine revs seem to increase rather noticeably. It doesn't happen all the time but enough for it to annoy the hell out of me! Usually occurs when the turbo has kicked in! Is the turbo the problem!?

It sounds like the accelerator is still being pressed however it is not and I'm concious my foot is completely off! Could something be keeping the accelerator active?

I've had the car checked over completely by my mechanic who fully tested the car and resulted in no faults being found other than a minor issue with the drivers side CV joint!? He did also experience the high revs and upon further investigations still no diagnosis.

Is this normal behaviour for this car, is the car losing power and should I be concerned!?

Appreciate all feedback and advice!
Thank you

Did your mechanic run full electronic diagnostics on the car with a VAG compatible scan tool (one that scans all the modules, not just a generic OBD2 one that only does the engine)? If not then I suggest you do that next to see if anything gets flagged up.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to the thread!

Had to take the car into the main dealers and.....
The Problem was solved in the last week and Car has finally been fixed, woohoo!
In the end it came down to needing a new clutch switch/sensor and an update within the ecu/software which effected the abs!

Update apparently allowed them to get all the necessary parts to recognise the clutch and the the clutch sensor itself to respond in the correct manner!

New problem now is..... since collecting my car from the garage my brake lights are permanently stuck on!

It's not a simple fix apparently! No fault with brake switch/sensor
Apparently the body/electrical control module/unit is faulty and needs to be replaced/recoded
Not sure how much this repair is going to cost!

I will post the actual repair information from the initial problem into this thread once I get my car back. Just for reference and if anyone else experiences the same problem!

Thoughts/suggestions appreciated!
