Just got my new 2.0L Tdi and is now producing a high pitched whine on and off but on a regular basis. Anyone had this?

I have always got an intermittent faint whine / squeal from my Altea 2.0TDi. Sounds like a very faint brake squeal. Does that sound like your noise?
my first impression was the sound of some kind of pump but its high pitched...seems to happen when you press and release the accelerator....fuel pump maybe?
Is it not the turbo?
Mine dose it all the time....more if you have just taken you foot off the loud pedal

Its the turbo, mine does it all the time. First heard it when the window was down. Sounds a bit like a quite dump valve.

POLKR I hear it whether I am heavy on the pedal or just tooteling about, seen you in your old leon the other day in Kilwinning about 8,30am.

cheers guys...i didnt notice it in my petrol cupra though and really only noticed it since i visited a nice shop in charing cross
my wife pointed it out and it really bugs me now.......couldnt have been me gas man...i live in mearns and work in hillington. anyway my old cupra had a private plate on it which is getting transferred at the mo.
