look at it this way, turbochargers require exhaust gases to "spool" (spin the turbine up to a RPM where it is providing positive pressure (boost) ), a turbocharger designed for a 2.6litre skyline is going to have problems spooling using the smaller 1781cc engine's lesser exhaust gasses

nevermind the fitment issues!

Hmm i dunno, if you can find a way of making the 20vt rev like a motorbike you might be shifting enough exhaust gases to spool up around 15k rpm, then hold onto your anus, youre heading for fastsville.

Does'nt my reply answer that?

That said... I run a turbo which is for a 2.5ltr subaru on a 1900 20v motor, and it rocks! (but my motor is anything from bog stock to begin with)

HKS make good turbo's from the rep I have heard. Fitment is unknown for 1.8T - I've not heard of anyone trying one.

dont know m8 sorry.
if you can find compressor maps for them then compare with something like IHIvf34 or garrett gt28rs for airflows and thats a good guide to begin with for sizing... then fitment itself onto suitable manifold is ya next problem
