Just been to my local dealer to pick up my new mats (cuffed) and asked him the question reguarding to an earlier thread and he bought up all my car data, it give a list of all the things that were put on when the car was made, the interesting bit is that my original engine code is AMK (210) and in a box next to it it says User specif: BAM (225), im a little confused as to why it says this as the chap said the code is from the engine not the chassis number but my car hasnt had a new engine so will i be licky enough that mines a 210 model with 225 engine?
were will i find the engine code (i know the engine) :D
but where abouts??

On mine BAM is stamped onto cylinder head,it is on right hand side,if you look were coolant/washer bottles are just on the front edge of cylinder head.

Had my car for over ayear and never noticed, just looked and found the barcode sticker and it says AMK, is that what you mean GREY 225 or is it engraved on cylinder head?

No difference mate. The 12bhp additional is made up from upping turbo boost pressure, nothing to do with engine.

Slightly off topic but when he pulled your car up did it come up with all the options on it that it had originally when it was bought from the factory?
