Horrible Knocking Noise - HELP?

Car is coming to end of warranty now & it's developed it's first major problem!
When I sharp steer to the right, putting lots of weight onto the front n/s wheel there is a knocking noise
The sound is like ABS coming on aggresively.
Has anyone out there experienced this on their LCR?
Done some searching on the forum and seen similar issues that might mean that the ball joint is knackered. If it is is this a warranty covered problem? If it's not how much can I expect to pay?

shock could be knackered,
wheel bearing (although this is more of a vibration/rumble than a knock)

Get it into garage pronto before warranty runs out!

doubt you could get it sorted under warrenty, ware and tare thats what i was told when my balljoint went after 25k
