Hey peeps got my coilovers today. Ive had a look at them and theres 4 coilovers and 2 springs. Anyone have any idea where the 2 springs go, back or front?

you should have 4 dampers and 4 springs like mat says, you might have 2 helper springs aswell thinking about it
 
Those springs are what mine had on the front ones (The ones with 2 bolt holes at the bottom) instead of the two that are on yours. I would contact the supplier and ask them about it as mine are the same brand..
The springs on the bottom are helper springs fyi, mine don't have any on the front...

right...

on the back you should have 2 springs on each damper... one is the main spring (sits on the bottom) and the helper spring (sits on top of the main spring with a ittle 'cup' inbetween).

the front should have the massive spring only

shouldn't the helper spring sit on the bottom, like there built it in the pic above:confused:
 
I just bought a set yesterday, and it looks identical to the pic you posted. However my front ones are not fitted with the one large spring. It has 2 like the back does
 
Both front and back have 2 springs on each coilover. Its just the big srings ive left off. Do you think im ok in leaving them of. I get abit of clicking coming from them when i turn my steering wheel but im tacking it to be set up now so i will see if that helps.

Tracking in birmingham

Just took the car in to get all the tracking and everything checked after iv dropped the car. Chap said its to low need someone with flatbed ramp. Anyone now of any places in birmingham Cheers peeps.

also have a question. I take it you fitted them yourself:

so when you take out the old shocks and springs you take them out in one piece yes?

Do you need a spring clamp for fitting them or not?
 
Reuvers, you wouldn't need a spring compressor to fit them as the are an entire strut, there are pictures further up the page. You would probably need one if you were to fit the wider springs.
They might have supplied 2 sets to allow compensation for tyre clearance? either that or the slim springs are what they are supplied to the company like, and they give you the springs yourself to change over.
